Body doubling is one of the most effective — and least understood — ADHD strategies. The concept is simple: having another person present while you work, even if they're doing something completely different.

The presence of another person provides a gentle form of external accountability and social regulation that helps the ADHD brain stay on task.

You don't need a formal arrangement. It can be working in a café, calling a friend on speaker while you both tackle your to-do lists, or joining an online co-working session.

If you've ever noticed that you're inexplicably more productive in a coffee shop than in your perfectly organised home office, this is why. Your brain isn't broken — it just works better with company.

If this resonated with you…

This is the work I do in 1:1 coaching — moving you from self-blame to self-understanding, and from treading water to finally living YourADHD.Life.

The Your SHINE Journey programme is 6 months of deep, personalised coaching for late-diagnosed women who are ready to stop managing and start living. No scripts, no one-size-fits-all. Just real work, built around your brain.
