FAQ

Straight answers to the questions we hear most — about ADHD, coaching, and how it all works. If yours isn't here, get in touch.

What is ADHD coaching, and how is it different from therapy?

Coaching is forward-focused and practical. We work on strategies, systems, and building a life that works with your brain — not on unpacking the past. Therapy is valuable too, and the two complement each other well.

Do I need a formal diagnosis to work with you?

No. If you identify with ADHD and it's affecting your life, coaching can help. Many clients are self-diagnosed, awaiting assessment, or exploring whether ADHD fits. You don't need a piece of paper to deserve support.

What's the SHINE Method?

SHINE stands for See It, Honour It, Implement It, Nourish It, Embrace It. It's the framework that runs through all our programmes — a structured path from self-awareness to confidently owning your ADHD identity.

How long are coaching programmes?

It depends on the programme. SHINE Foundations runs over 12 weeks. Other programmes range from 4-week focused courses to ongoing weekly sessions. Check individual programme pages for details.

Is coaching available online?

Yes — all coaching is delivered online via Zoom. This means you can join from anywhere, and you don't have to battle traffic or find parking (one less executive function demand).

What if I can't afford coaching right now?

SHINE Toolbox is our most accessible option — a weekly drop-in at a lower price point. We also have free resources on the blog and downloadable tools. Everyone deserves support, regardless of budget.
